Name: Camp Hope: Kinsmen Lutheran Church
Date: July 26, 2019
Time: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
Camp Hope is a unique summer day camp where Bible stories come alive, faith becomes real, and mentoring relationships are formed—all through the leadership of passionate teens and young adults. Designed for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade, Camp Hope combines the energy of young leaders with a full-day, immersive learning experience. This year’s theme is “Camp Hope Lab: Rewrite the Rules” which will incorporate elements of STEM in teaching Bible stories. Together, campers and their leaders will become scientists as they question, wonder, test, observe, learn, and share about God in new ways. Each day centers around a different Bible story with every activity—games, crafts, worship, drama, small group time and even snacks—pointing back to the story of the day. By learning through a variety of experiences, kids remember the stories for years to come. Camp Hope runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for three weeks in July. Families may register their child for one, two or all three weeks. Before and after care is also available starting at 6:30 a.m. or concluding at 6:30 p.m. The camp takes place at Kinsmen Lutheran Church, with service projects throughout the community for older campers. Kinsmen Lutheran Church is a congregation that strives to be rooted in faith and relevant to life.
