- Distribution of campaign materials will not be allowed the evening of the forum.
- The forum will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:00 pm. The meeting may conclude prior to 8:00 p.m. if, in the judgment of the chairperson, the moderator and a majority of the candidates, all of the questions have been asked or have reached a point of repetition.
- Participation in the forum is the option of the candidate.
- The Organizational Committee for the Meet the Candidates Forum for Voters (Committee) will select the chairperson for the meeting. The committee will select the moderator.
- Each candidate will have up to two (2) minutes for introductory statements.
- Any statistics that are presented must be fully documented as to their source, i.e., document, publication or individual. The moderator will not interrupt the speaker, but will inform the audience at the conclusion of the presentation when statistics are presented without identification.
- A Tomball ISD resident in attendance may pose a question to all candidates by writing it on an index card provided for that purpose. Cards will be drawn in a random manner. All candidates will be permitted to respond to all questions. Responses will be limited to two (2) minutes each.
- Tomball ISD employees who might be in attendance will not be requested to answer any questions from the participants or from those in attendance.
- Questions will be screened and removed if derogatory references are made towards employees by name or position, or to any one of the candidates or the current Board of Trustee members, or if there are other circumstances that would necessitate that action.
- A live stream of the event will be available on the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/GreaterTomballChamber
- After the question and answer session is completed, each candidate will have two (2) minutes for concluding remarks.
